Tax Deferred Annuity (TDA) Means MORE TAKE-HOME PAY

Want to save more for retirement than your budget seems to allow? Through the tax deferral advantage of a TDA, you may be able to meet your savings goal and still have the take-home pay you need to meet your budget responsibilities. Take a look at the following example, which compares the impact on take-home pay of saving $3,000 through a tax-deferred annuity versus saving $3,000 in a financial institution on an after-tax basis. The TDA approach leaves you $442 more take-home pay for the year.

Strategies for Career Success and Economic Security

Be unique. Aristotle said, "Where the needs of the world and your talents cross there within lies your vocation." Translated into action means:

Develop uniqueness in yourself or job that is demanded by society at the time, e.g. second language or other special feature.

Develop computer skills that can help with employment.

Be caring and conscientious. Work carefully and fast. Catch your mistakes and correct them. Learn from your mistakes and be optimistic.

Success is dependent upon your attitude toward people and willingness to work hard.

Be loyal and ethical. Be dependable, responsible, and creative.

Show up everyday for work - alert and healthy. You may have to change life style or certain habits to succeed as a team member.

Arrive to work early to build credibility insurance.

Handle job politics. Learn unwritten policies.

Learn to solve problems. (If you make your boss look good, you will look good, also.)

Learn the unwritten as well as written criteria for promotion and raises. Work on these, change jobs, or convince employer to change criteria.

Reduce problems at home. Create an efficient household, organize your finances, and have reliable transportation. Prepare each weekend to have peace of mind during the workweek.

The Labor Unions' motto is "Less problems off the job, less problems on the job." When at work, concentrate on work. When at home do not worry about the job. Manage both by remote control.

Evaluate your efforts, your program, and your work behavior from time to time.

Report your activities, accomplishments, and educational experiences that enhance your work to your supervisor. This contributes to morale, accurate evaluation of you, and the marketing of yourself as a valuable employee.
