Action Plans

  • List your short-term financial obligations and goals for each semester, for the school year, and for the entire year.

  • Write all the policies and agreements you and your family have established.

  • Keep a record of any unexpected expenses that have occurred so that you can update estimated expenses for the future.

  • Check your expenses against your income on a monthly basis and adjust both to be balanced

  • To reduce expenses, enjoy inexpensive entertainment and recreational activities. If you want more expensive fun, find a way to increase your income without undue stress on others, your work, or on your academic schedule.

If you make a mistake in handling money, learn from it. Consider it your tuition payment for a personal consumer education course.
