To apply for community aid, you may need to provide the following documentation:
- Identification with Social Security numbers
of household members
- Household gross income
- Address and ages of household members
- Household expenses, such as utilities, rent
or mortgage payments, taxes, and insurance
- Dependent care costs
- Medical expenses
- Receipt of disability benefits
- Scholarships and grants for college students
provided by community groups, employers, etc. Search for these online
at http://www.fastweb.com or http://www.wiredscholar.com
- Food banks and food pantries operated by
unions, churches, and other community groups. Local churches, United
Way offices, the Salvation Army, or other local social service agencies
have information on community cupboards or food pantries that distribute
food or have cafeterias available
